[Q] Phone will not sync contacts

I have a new LG G3 and the contacts will not sync. Sync contacts is checked under the gmail account settings.. the correct account is checked off under 'select which contacts to display' in the contacts menu.. they just aren't syncing. I have tried removing the account, unchecking/rechecking sync contacts. I even imported my contacts from one gmail account to the other. It ranges from not syncing at all to displaying a few contacts only. Emails and calendar are syncing fine.

Any ideas?

This may sound weird, but bear with me.
Do you have Wi-Fi calling, and/or the Sprint boot animation?

I mean.. I have them on the phone, yes. But haven't touched the wifi calling feature.

Just making sure your phone is setup right. Those will be missing sometimes and you have to do a dialer code to fix it.
Not really sure what to tell you. I guess you could try some dialer codes but that may or may not help.

Or, and this WILL RESET your phone
##RTN# and you'll need your MSL for that. You can find that info stickied in the General section for Flashtool.

Under Contacts -> Settings -> Contacts to dispaly - Do you have 'All contacts' selected, or just your Google account? Also, if you select 'Customize' does changing any of the options there have an impact on which contacts are displayed?

I have "All Contacts" selected. As far as "Customize" I only have gmail contacts.
Had a Windows phone years ago and it messed up gmail, so that made me just have one set of contacts.
