[Q] Phone won't boot passed splash or charge.

Hi,

My girlfriend finished her call and her phone shut off, it'll boot for maybe a full second, show the splash screen, then cut off, and it won't charge. She has some stuff she needs from it, and I can only get into recovery mode. I tried a dirty flash, which didn't help sadly. Is there any way I can pull her files and pictures from it? A plus would be to actually get it working again, but the files and pictures are more important.

Edit: Adb pull data/media/0 seems to be grabbing everything, that's a plus at least. And the phone seems to be charging in recovery mode. Still need to figure out how to boot it normally...

well since you saved the data you should do a full wipe then flash a custom rom

Eh, I found out the problem sadly. The power button is shot, had to take apart the phone and remove it. Ah well, at least the files are safe, going to get a replacement in the morrow~

It kind of does, I mean, she's had it since release, the same exact phone, so I'm just calling it old age. I ended up taking it apart and ripping the power button out. Taking it in tomorrow to order a replacement.
