Hello to all:

I have two issues with Polaris Office 5 on my note 3:

1-When I put the phone in horizontal position, Polaris Office does no fill the whole screen. That was the case with Polaris Office version 3. When I put the phone in horizontal position, the text would fill the whole screen and there was no bar at the top. This is annoying in phones, because the screen is already small and the bar at the top is really unnecessary.

2-Whenever I open a Txt file to read, the keyboard comes up. It annoys me because I don't need the keyboard and I don't want to edit anything.

I also have a problem with Polaris Office version 3:
When I open it, this annoying watermark comes up which says:

THIS IS A MODEL WHICH THE LIBRARY DOES NOT SUPPORT.
CONTACT INFRAWARE INC."

If you help me solve these issues, I would owe you big time.

For Polaris v5:

1. Yes, the menu bar takes up larger than necessary space when horizontal. I have not found way to make a word document display full screen.

2. To get rid of the keyboard press the Back button. It is just one press.

Sorry, no idea about older Polaris v3, as only have Polaris v5 installed free from Samsung Apps store.

How can I solve the watermark problem? Here cheatman explained something that I don't quite understand :

:

Code:
There are only two known workarounds for this issue:

1. You get the lib files from a different source.
2. You trick the lib into thinking you have a different phone model.

You might want to try editing your build.prop file to reflect a different phone model (compatible one) for example.

I never had this issue. Maybe because I'm doing it across related Samsung devices? Or maybe I am running a different version?
I have been searching the whole day:silly:

You installed an old free version polaris 3 that was free for a limited number of phone models, and the note3 is not one of those, simply because it didn't exist.

So you have 2 solutions, root your phone, change the build.prop file info to let polaris think you got a different phone, and live with all the other **** that is going to give you.....

Or just download the polaris 5 , which is free for the note 3.....And live with the bar at the top. and no need to ask other to install polaris 3 from your link they WILL have the same watermark

What's wrong with solution number 1?

The problem is that other apps might also look at the build.prop info to see what phone you are using.
So changing it into something else, will make polaris 3 run without the watermark, but it will probably
screw up other apps
