[Q] Porting ROM Features?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but is it possible to port just a specific feature of a rom to another rom on the same device.

Was wondering if you could port gesture lock from Carbon Rom and HALO to another cm rom on our device.

Search for xposed, this piece of software can do very much, at least halo should work with the right package...

I am aware of this because i already use Xposed Framework. Also, the HALO with Floating Notifications is much worse than real HALO, no offense. But thank you for ur reply.
