Look for a thread that says "odin files to get you back to stock" and follow those instructions.

rule of thumb with voodoo - NEVER batt pull in a voodoo install.

For the future you need to have voodoo (kernel that isn't kaosinate) before trying to install kaosinate. Steps below should help:

Install voodoo kernel (such as otb or blazed)
Go into cwm (text will be red)
Clear data and cache (wipe)
Install kaosinate ROM (current is v2 as of right now.)
Install kaosinate kernel (current is v4, this kernel is ONLY for kaosinate fyi..don't flash it with any other setup)
Install gapps
Reboot.
Enjoy.

So you know..the woman will tell you what is going on during the voodoo install. Converting data and system partitions and all that..let it happen bro..don't batt pull during a voodoo install -ever-.

I didn't pull the battery during the install, i pulled it afterwards, after it had been sitting on the unlock screen for about 5 or 10 minutes. I had emails and texts coming in, the media scanner had completed it's scan, the time was changing like normal... there just wasn't any response to my touch whatsoever. Believe me, I let it do it's thing when installing.

I've managed to push two different voodoo kernels onto my sdcard via adb (a JT kernel and an OTB kernel), but when i try to install either one, i get an error message that says:

--Installing: SDCARD:1221_test_voodoo_fascinate.zip
Finding update package...

First of all you are welcome foe the help. Or at least the attempt to help.

Second, i agree with above. Odin was what i had to do a couple times. Took me right back to stock and i could start reflashing things properly.

Thanks to adrenalyn for the odin package that saved me.

Voodoo was not the problem here. The problem was flashing a kernel that is only to be used with the matching rom.

Voodoo 5 has not had the troubles that the old did.

I have switched back and forth from voodoo 5 to nonvoodoo many times with no ill effect.

Read before you flash is the lesson.

Thank you everyone for your help. I was able to adb push a disable lagfix text file in to the voodoo folder and then from there flash a nonvoodoo kernel to get everything back to normal. Again thanks everyone!

Based on the fact he was able to disable fine and his voodoo kernel was used incorrectly in the first place i stand by my words.

Voodoo doesn't seem to be the problem in THIS case.

As to your phone. Do you disable voodoo through the red recovery?

Well i made a stupid decision to flash kaos' kernel when it explicitly said flash a different voodoo kernel first... oops haha

I couldn't enter red cwm from kaos' kernel originally, but after i was able to disable it with the text file, i was able to then flash a different nonvoodoo kernel and after boot completely remove the Voodoo folder from my sdcard.

After that, i started thinking that all of the cool new ROMs that are in the works (Gingerbread, Kaoscinate etc.) are going to be based on this ext4 file system and so i decided to ultimately flash a voodoo kernel just to be ready for whenever those ROMs make it on here. So i'm running the latest JT voodoo kernel with zero problems.
