Maybe it's a stupid question, but if I don't ask it I'll never know :p

Do you think will it be possible to make a mod to the i9000 and use the Fascinate camera & led flash with it?
It seems to be the very same camera but with led, and it's located in the same spot. And in the i9000 disassemle it seems to be space enough. What I don't know if it's a disassembly of the Fascinate to compare spare parts :p
What do you think?

Well, I guess I was looking for the same question as you since this thread was the first on found on google lol!
It's not a stupid question, what's stupid is samsung not installing a flash on it!
the real question is: is the board compatible to install a flash (ie: does it have the soldering hole to install it).
Someone who already dismantled his could answer us.

The camera board (along with the flash) is independent. If the flash can be fitted to the i9000, i think it would be just to plug in the whole board of the new camera -camera itself and flash- (it's just a connector), hopefully. What I don't know if there's enough room in the i900o to put the new board :p The rest it's just to plug in and test. The drivers of the i9000 have some support (in the sources) of flash, so, maybe it's that easy...

We'll know... maybe (i can't see many people interested in this...).
