[Q] Prefered --stable and fast-- ROM (JB)

I had AOKP with JB and I switched to CM10 and my phone is now too slow. I understand that the Captivate is already an old phone and maybe JB is too much. Can anybody recommend a stable but fast ROM for the Captivate? I'd like to go back to AOKP but there might be better options out there. I'd like to sell it without warranties but I'd like to offer something that won't cause issues.

AoCP is very stable and smooth, Just like AOKP.
