Hey guys, I've flashed my Galaxy Ace to the Ice Cream Sunday(Update 1.2) ROM and I found that I can't log in to the FriendCaster. It shows me error on line 2 after I submit my email and password. Is anybody here know how to solve it? Thanks!

If you have a titanium backup of the working, already logged in application then just restore.
I have even raised it with the friendcaster's developers to give me an alternative way of signing in. But they have replied back stating that they cannot bypass the oauth either.
For now, I find facebook too heavy on the resources for the Ace. Besides, it's slow sluggish and irritating no matter how fast the connection is.
Any recommendations?

what works for me.
login friendcaster from stockrom. then backup using titanium backup. restore it on cm7.

Yea. I did a backup of login-ed FriendCaster and restore on CM7.
Still the same problem.
Just an observation
What I realized is that the issue was the way in which oauth is implemented in friendcaster, rather than a generic fb login issue with CM7.
For example, Trillian and the "facebook notifications-free and prem. app" don't have any issues authorizing in.

Restore app+data.Yea. I did a backup of login-ed FriendCaster and restore on CM7.
Still the same problem.

If u want an chat app try facebook messenger frm market. It works on cm7 roms.

The problem is that, the default fb app is one of most lousiest apps out there. Once you try friendcaster, you can't go back to an overgrown app like that. I really wish we had more alternatives to the default fb app.
LOL I wanted to ask this question myself as to which rom works.

For a fact, none of the CM7 based ROMs for Ace work..hmm may i know which roms supports the facebook authentication?
I've used Firstua & coderom. Fb authentication works on both roms.hmm may i know which roms supports the facebook authentication?
