[Q] Pull and push file

i have rooted my phone and now i have a stock 2.1 update 1 rom (rooted). i tried to adb pull gps.conf but does not exist :| i have pulled the entire "etc" and it contains only 2 files: mtab and fstab

when in recovery mode i tried adb pull /etc/gps.conf c:\ (file does not exist)

please help

i think you have to mount the etc section first.
