[Q] (Q) Possible Brick

A while back I gave my old Aria to one of my friends and he is telling me that it won't turn on at all and does not respond at all, he can't turn it on and it doesn't respond to putting it on the charger. Does anyone think they know the problem or if there is anything I could try when he brings it to me?

I believe it had a Liberated Rom from the early/mid 2011 when I gave it to him.

Thank you in advance for any input.

Edit: Tried putting a known working battery in it with no results.

If I were you I would check the water damage indicators on the phone/battery if they're pink or your friend removed them from the phone than odds are he got it wet. Honestly though it sounds like a hardware related problem if you can't boot through the charger or power button. I'm assuming you tried booting into recovery? (volume down/power) Not sure if that would make a difference.
