Hello, I have two kind of newbish questions regarding a rooted Fascinate running the SuperClean mod (Gingerbread). I'm sorry that the two topics of Lagfixes and Chainfire 3D have pretty much nothing to do with each other, but I figure I'd kill two birds with one stone.

The first question is, obviously before installing Chainfire it gives you that dire warning of "phone may not boot up" blah blah blah. Typically, I'm not very afraid of this warning and I know they put it there JUST IN CASE something happens to go wrong so you can't point fingers. However, I was just wondering if the fact that I'm running the Superclean rom would give it any problems in particular. I don't know why it would, but when it comes to these things you just never know unless you ask.

The second question is sort of the same deal: Are there certain Lagfixes that I need to run or are the more or less the same thing across phones? I tried to do research on it, but the majority of lagfix topics I found were from 2010, and I was looking for some more current input. That being said, are lagfixes really worth it, or are they kind of a "sham" like task killers (as in, many people think that they are great but they are really counterproductive/not really necessary). I guess what I'm asking is: what is the consensus on Lagfixes?

Sorry if these questions are silly beyond belief, but I really tried to do some research on them and wasn't very satisfied with the answers I found. I guess my biggest overall question is: Is having SuperClean running going to give me any issues when installing "questionable" stuff like this? Thanks a lot everyone!

I just updated some lagfix info today in my glossary. Please take a look at it and let me know if it answers your lagfix questions.

As far as your Chainfire question, are you on an up to date ROM (SC3m2)? If so, you shouldn't have much to worry about. I used SC3 for a while, and I never had any problems with it. It's really just an optimized, debloated version of stock EH03.

In the future, you may want to post questions in the Q&A section. You'll almost certainly receive a warmer response from the more knowledgeable senior members.
