[Q] Question - Is an Android phone supposed to respond to a PING?

My Galaxy S2 with ICS is connected to my WiFi AP and has been allocated IP address 192.168.0.28.

The Galaxy has internet access so connectivity is not an issue.

However, if I try and ping the phone, I get "Destination Host Unreachable"

Does an Android phone respond to ping requests from other devices like a PC?

Can someone advise or try it?
