Hi, I just got my defy+ and its y first android phone. I am interested in rooting my defy+, but the problem is that I don't know how to root my phone. Can someone give me a detailed step by step solution on how to root my defy+ ?

My defy+ is at android version 2.3.6. I've read some website on the internet that says that defy+ cannot be rooted on Android version 2.3.6. So, can someone please help me?

Thank you. :)

Thanks. I'll try it out when my computer is fixed. Is there any risk that my phone might get bricked if I use superoneclick? One more thing, can I install the cm7 to defy+ after I've root it?

Hi, I've recently read about one article about defy+ having locked bootloader. So does it mean that I cannot root my phone with that superoneclick?

No, it doesn't..! You can root it, I did it just yesterday, using SuperOneClickRoot. I've got a DEFY+, too.

But it does mean that once you flash a newer kernel, you can't go back to an older version. That has nothing to do with rooting, but it does with flashing.
