Hey guys, I'm new to the Android scene (I was using apple for a while), and recently rooted my htc aria to run an ice cream sandwich rom. I was wondering if there is any way to use the lockscreen but also require a pin number to unlock, like the iphone is set up? I would also like to be able to view notifications on the lock screen without having to actually unlock the phone...

In addition, the aria has EXTREMELY low internal memory and it seems that I can only install about 7 apps... I was able to move a couple apps over to the sd card, but why can't every app be moved? All in all, I am pleased with the switch, but the ability to install apps is a must have for me. Thanks in advance!

To free up some space, just follow this:

Partition your SD card by using CWM. It will delete all your files that are currently on your sd card, so make sure you back it all up.

When you boot into CWM, choose Advanced > Partition SD Card > 128mb(Or whatever size you want your partition to be. I personally chose 128mb) > 0 Swap Size. After it's done partitioning your sd card, reboot your phone.

When it reboots, go to the Play Store, and install the app "S2E". when S2E is done installing, open the app, and choose your Dalvik cache to be moved to your sd card. After you do that, reboot, and you're done.
P.S. This shouldn't be dangerous, but I'm not responsible if anything goes wrong.

About your other questions; I don't have ICS on my Aria right now, but I believe that you can still pull down the notification bar while still on the lockscreen.

I don't quite understand what you mean by having the pin unlock the same way as iOS. I think you can have both pin unlock and regular unlock enabled if you go into Cyanogen settings>Lockscreen, and enable it in there, if that's what you want. Again, I don't have ICS on my Aria, so I might not be right.

Quicker fix for your space issue: install link2sd it allows you to move all apps, no matter what they are. Just make sure you don't move widgets or they might not work.
