can somebody tell me how much ram the sensation has? i was playing with the phone in t-mobile today and it said that the phone has 558MB Total with 120MB free. i was under the impression that it was 728MB RAM. Can someone please clarify? cause if its only 558MB RAM than i will just stick with the G2X.

It got 768mb of ram indeed. Some of it reserved by android, this is pretty common i think, at least on my previous htc phones.
The task managers show the wrong info of ram tho, head into "running applications" and look at the bottom to see how much is used and available.

Part of the ram are reserved for the hardware such as graphic chip.

Also to find the TRUE amount of ram available, goto Setting --> Applications --> Running Services, it will tell you how much ram is avalibe at the bottom. You can also create a short cut for this on the home screen.

Edit: there should be more than 300mb of free ram when the phone boots on.

The PS3 has 256mb total ram.............so all the people saying the ram is slowing it down, GET REAL, its' a non-issue.

It doesn't matter. On a PC, it might matter how much ram you have depending on what you do. Just use your phone and Android will take care of everything else for you.
