[Q] Random Reboot(Stock 2.1.0 +Unknown Sources)

I bought my Nook HD+ 16GB during the Mother's Day sale. It seems to get pretty hot and restarts to the black screen with the nook symbol. Sometimes it only goes to the white screen with the nook symbol. I can't seem to figure out what is going on. I've read several places with people on stock that have similar problems but no answer. I'm hoping XDA can help me out..

My first Nook HD+ had a random reboot problem, even on stock. I took it back to Walmart and got another and no problems.

I am getting random reboots on CM10.1 6/15 version . Is this somewhat common ?

I wasn't on stock very long (perhaps 4 hrs). The reboots are once or twice a day.
