[Q] "Read in Store" [RIS] option after simple root?

Hi,
Not my first time rooting a device by far - but I'd like to specifically know if I can simply gain root access but still get the "read in store" option afterwards? I'm not looking to replace the UI with a new ROM or anything. I'd like to leave everything intact if I can.

I have a BNTV400 (Nook HD) and if you can point me in the right direction (and specifically answer the question above) that'd be great!

You can root the stock ROM and should still have read in store access. Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and follow the directions on how to get root access.
