[Q] Really can't decide on a case!?

I'm just wondering and not trying to piss anyone off, but... You've got a phone made out of one-piece metal, it's big enough as it is without any extra and it's almost all screen. So the question here remains why you wan't to have a case for it to begin with? I've had mine since launch and all I've got is an invisibleshield screen protector (just to keep excess fingerprints off, which it does very well, and a little scratch protection just in case) and there's not a single scratch or mark in it anywhere. I've drop it a few times and nothing. I'm just saying that all kinds of bumpers etc are an iphone thing and really not needed with the DHD, which just makes it even greater! Just flash it off as it is :D Just my 2 cents though.
This! I was thinking between SGS and DHD.... What I liked about DHD was aluminium body and general feel of it, SGS was too plastic for my taste.
Now to wrap it up in silicone or plastic case just doesn't make sense to me at all, and also to put sticker on it's screen...no way.
I am using cheap pull tab puch untill I get htc original, and it enough. Disclaimer: enough for me.
So, my DHD will remain naked :)

I bought both the CaseMate Tough and Barely There cases:

1) Touch - the sort of protection you buy a case for. Covers the whole body well, is raised from the screen, so it's unlikely the DHD will suffer if dropped, however it lands.

2) Barely There - the name says it all ;) it's a very good looking case (I got the mirrored silver one), but is just a piece of hard plastic. I can imagine it popping off if it hits the ground, and it doesnt really protect the corners.

ALSO... I got up early, left the DHD with the Barely There case on the kitchen table. The alarm went off, and it had been vibrating for about 5 minutes before I returned to switch it off. It was by then about 3cm from the edge of the table

The only downside of the Tough case is it's look & feel. The DHD is a very aesthetically pleasing phone, and you don't get to see much of it.

That said, I had an X1 for 2 years, and without body protection it now looks like it went to war...

Unless you keep your phone in a glass cabinet, it is open to being dropped, and it's then Russian roulette if the internals/screen geet expensively damaged.

I'm not a betting man, so mine's wrapped up ;)

I'm using the Case-Mate Gelli case... it's really slim and provides great protection while looking good. Comes with a screen protector as well.

I've tried the Otterbox Commuter case but it was too bulky although very protective. The Case-Mate Barely There is just a plastic backing that doesn't provide protection for the top and bottom. The other Case-Mates I tried were also too bulky for me.

Case-Mate Tough is a very good case I love it. However it is a pain to take on and off so if you are swapping sd cards it could become annoying!

Other than that best case I have ever bought for any phone I have ever owned!

Just throwing this out there to anybody considering the Case-Mate Pop.

I understand some cases can cause GPS problems, but here's my experience with the Case-Mate Pop specifically in terms of GPS interference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVh96ffr6z0

I wouldn't recommend this case to anybody on the basis that its build quality isn't the best, it scratches *very* easily making it look like a very miserable case within a week, the rubber trim on the front of the case will wear very quickly if you frequently place your phone in your pocket, and it's a very difficult case to take off. It does offer good protection and it's an attractive looking case, but the cons far outweigh the pros with my particular experience.

I have the Seidio Innocase II Surface Combo. http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bd2-hr3htace-bk.htm

It was exactly what I wanted, a very thin, 2 piece hard case, soft touch finish and adjustable belt clip as I can't stand having a phone in my pocket.

Might be a little expensive but I'm very happy with the quality and how quickly I can remove it one handed from the belt clip and answer the phone.
I have ordered the Seidio Innocase II (not the Combo with the belt hook, just the regular case). I've had Seidio Innocases on my phones for the past few years and they've provided the best and sleekest protection I've ever had. Nothing but praise.

Innocase Surface II (they have other colours besides black too):

Coupon code: DISC2011 (gets you $3 off)

I'm keeping the Case-mate Gelli in the interim while I wait for the Seidio.

This was my first purchase from them and for the product I got they'll be getting future business from me :)

+1 on the Case-Mate Tough. I ordered it together with the Otterbox Commuter and I liked the Tough better. The Otterbox is very good too, but it was more expensive and it doesn't provide the same secure grip feeling that the Tough gives you. The Tough has this texture on the service which gives you a better grip. Great case!
