I would be interested in hearing anyone's views on the best app for recording bicycle metrics.

I have the Trek/Bontrager frame integrated DuoTrap. I have been using the Strava app to connect to the bicycle but the app does not seem to provide any data output about the cycles/power collected during the ride.

I look forward to everyone's input! Thanks!

Thanks for responding. Is there a way to see the duotrap Cadence / speed / power data on the Strava app?
If there is I haven't found it. I'm only using the free app for now so maybe it is a premium feature but, if so, it is not listed. :(

Strava, nothing else comes close. I cycle and use it every single day.

I found the answer to my question about whether Strava uses external data:

From their site: https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/21165523-iPhone-and-External-Biometric-Sensors-or-Displays
"Do you support speed and/or cadence data gathered from power meters?

The Strava iPhone app does not gather speed or cadence data gathered from power meters at this time.

Do you use the speed data gathered from speed sensors?

The Strava iPhone app does not use speed data gathered from speed sensors. Please see article: How Distance Is Calculated for more details."

I’m using the same frame integrated DuoTrap with the app IpBike. It records all sorts of metrics. You can upload your rides into other apps if wanted. I usually upload mine into Strava.
