using pc oding or mobile oding you can flash stock rom of any region on your phone. Make sure you follow the steps properly to avoid brick.

no use taking risk to see if the stock kernel is safe or not, some say that it is safe but i always use philz kernel.

Here:
Code:
<< 05.05.2013 - PhilZ-cwm6 v5.00.4 with CWM 6.0.3.1 based recovery >>
DDLSC - DXLSE - JPLSB - XXLSZ - XXLT4 - ZSLO2 Fixed for bootloop
ZCLSF (no bootloop fix)
the one that says xxlsz. Download .zip file place on ext sd, go to recovery using volume up+power+home, choose apply update from external storage and flash philz (.zip file).

Edit: you can also use:
<< 03.06.2013 - PhilZ-cwm6 v5.06.1 with CWM 6.0.3.2 based recovery >>
DDLSC - DXLSE - JPLSB - XXLT6 - ZSLO2 Fixed for bootloop
ZCLSF (no bootloop fix, proper default.prop)

the one that says XXLT6

Thanks for your help, I downloaded the file, but I think I put it in the wrong place. It said in recovery ( failed to mount ../sdcard.. no such file or directory. Where can I find the sdcard file/directory.

you can place the zip file on the root of ext sd card and try to go to recovery again and see if you can get into the option for "apply update from external storage". if not then download the .tar file instead, put the phone in download mode and flash using pc odin in PDA.
