Can I remove the gmail account without resetting the HD2 to factory settings?
The reason I haven't reset it yet is because I had an HD2 at the beginning of the year, I was running cyanogen mod rom and I reset it back to factory defaults when I sold it and I sent it to the ebay purchaser so when he turned it on he would put in his gmail account and he would have his own phone without my email syncing. The only problem was when he tried to boot into android from windows it wouldn't boot. I had to walk him through the rom download and reinstall procedures so he could use android. He was happy when it started working and I didn't have to refund him, so I was happy...
...now, I just bought an HD2 from a friend locally (couple hours ago) that is running the nand bootloader, I'm not sure what rom. I'm not too familiar with this setup where android runs on the internal memory, so I don't know if nand is the rom or the bootloader or both.
Basically my question is if i can remove the gmail account without resetting, and if not can I reset it to factory default settings through the settings menu and not mess anything up? I don't want the same thing to happen to this one that happened to mine that I sold on ebay at the beginning of the year. I'll have to read up on how to put roms on the internal memory before I try it. I would actually like to leave it just like it is because it runs great. SO is resetting ok?
edit: I restarted the phone and it has a nand bootloader with a cotulla dec 31 2010 build. It says Android DL super init when it is rebooting. I don't know if my other HD2 had a build problem so when I reset it to factory it started acting buggy.
