Greetings All,

So I have a friend who has a lovely predicament on his hands. He bought a second hand M8 and the seller told him that he did not like HTC Sense and he installed the Google version instead. Now, as I am investigating this phone I find that it is a Sprint M8 not a "normal" M8 and I need to get it back to stock Sense but retain root and S-Off, the reason for wanting Sense back is so that we can unlock the radios so he can get LTE as well as Sense camera improvements. Can you guys recommend a way forward for me? Below is the output from running fastboot getvar all:

C:\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader:
(bootloader) version-baseband:
(bootloader) version-cpld: None

(bootloader) imei2: Not Support
(bootloader) meid:
(bootloader) product: m8_whl

(bootloader) cidnum: SPCS_001
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 0mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: off
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: 6400afe2
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
finished. total time: 0.072s

Attached are two photos taken with my M8 showing where this phone is currently. Is it possible that this phone was actually a WWE phone, but flashed with Sprint GPE ROM? So what would be the best way to get back to rooted Sense? Just flash a custom ROM and be done with it?
