Hi all,
I was on stock 1.26 then unlocked rooted and installed CWM.
I made a backup with cwm, and then installed CM9. I'm going to return my One X and want to restore the backup. My question now is, do I need and boot.img first before I can restore my backup? During the backup process CWM said 'backing up boot image..' So will it restore it as well?

Thanks in advance....

No just restore your backup, flash stock recovery and then re-lock bootloader.

Help (if anyone can)

Hi, noob here (registration wise) been lurking for a year of so now.

First up I want to say I am not totally new to everything, I have rooted, flashed all sorts of roms etc on other models but my issue is with returning to stock on an HTC One X. I am hoping either someone can help me or at least tell me no one can at the moment.

I have done a number of searches and tried various things none of which have worked I am currently romless (no os installed when checked last on twrp) however since then I have also tried flashing a rom.zip so no longer have twrp at the moment but hopefully can still install it as I can get into fastboot.

My device is on Voda UK so currently it doesnt have an ruu that I can find the only thing I found was this a 3.14.161.27 rom zip which I tried flashing but while it flashed it just stays on the htc screen (it seems quite small and didnt have a system image in so wasnt sure if it was even complete)

My question is can I do anything with a nandroid backup if I can find one to get a uk stock even if its not Vodafone (or does it have to be Voda) if so can anyone point me to a dl? if not can anyone suggest anything to try or am I going to have to try and flash a custom rom again and not be on stock until a ruu is made if one is.

Thanks in advance for any guidance

In the mean time flash this recovery

Oke so the zip is a nandroid backup ? Of so, you need to unpack it !

Check here

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140

It has your nandroid backup, in the OP you also get a description where to put it on the sdcard !

With the recovery i sent you, you can mount the sdcard as a mass storage device and copy it over

so does it not matter that the version number of a nandroid backup is lower than my version main? (sorry for the question this nandroid backups are the one part of this side of thing I am not familiar with)

No that's not the issue, but the thread has your exact main version nandroid !
ok thanks I just looked at the initial post and saw vodap001 was lower than my version (hence why my question) but then searched the thread and saw the vodap102 can be used on mine and that is the same version.

Yes it should be compatible......but you can also restore a lower matching version and restore the stock recovery afterwards and update to JB again !

If you want to be 100% sure it works , go for option 2 .... Restore the lower one and update again :D
