[Q] Revert Aria running CM 7 back to Stock Froyo

I have a Aria which was upgraded from 2.1 to 2.2. I then S-OFF that and rooted it into the latest CM 7 for the phone. Still being ill-informed about rooting, i never created a nandroid backup of the stock rom.

Is it possible to revert back to the stock froyo they have on the HTC website? I dont necessarily want to S-On again but if it happens i can just easily S-off (no worries)
Or can i just download the rom from the htc website and just install that forcing a whole data wipe?
A link from another forum is all that is necessary if it is the right thing to do.

Yes, you can revert to stock by running the RUU. Everything will be reverted except the bootloader, which means you will still have S-OFF.

Here's the RUU if you don't already have it: http://member.america.htc.com/download/RomCode/HTC_aria/HTC_Aria_for_ATT_Android_2.2_ROM_Update.exe

I'm assuming you have an AT&T Aria. If you don't, this won't work. Also, if you don't already have HTC drivers installed, install this first: http://downloads.unrevoked.com/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe
