Hopefully everyone who hasn't rooted yet is no longer using this Knox tripping method. Even with the latest firmware installed, towelroot.com has the root software. Install the apk open it and click make it rain, wait at least 10 seconds then reboot (even though it says you don't need to), then get SuperSU from Chainfire and install the apk in the zip file, open the program and update the binary via normal method, if it asks to disable Knox (and you don't need the Knox apps) then disable it. Note: this does not disable the Knox counter, just the apps.
Reboot as SuperSU suggests.
Now that you have root access, you need to get BusyBox and Xposed, get the stable version 2.6.1

If you reboot, or power up, into download mode you should see a 0x0 Knox

P.S. you don't need xposed but it has some very nifty modules.
T-Mobile doesn't care if Knox is tripped or not. So however you root you are fine.

I'm not so much worried about T-Mobile as I am for selling it to someone else. I generally sell my old phone right before I get the new one to help with the down payment so I am not paying a hefty payment every month. Some people out there would like to use the phone for all it's features, including but not limited to the Knox apps, which disable themselves if you trip the Knox. However, I do appreciate that bit of info. :D

Already rooted my P607T with towelroot.
Installed xposed framework, Wanam's mod and 4 way multiwindows.

Knox on 0x0 and everything working perfect so far.

Thanks.
Quick question - are you running 4.4.2? I am planning on getting the T-Mobile Note 10.1 (P607) and want to make sure it is rootable with KNOX = 0

Same here. I had an issue one time where I sold my old Note 8.0 that was rooted and had specifically put in the ad that it was rooted AND KNOX tripped. Buyer then complained he can't upgrade and brought it to Samsung, who basically said "Tablet has been modified, no warranty".

To the best of my knowledge it comes with 4.4.2 already on it, but to answer your question I am indeed running 4.4.2 rooted with Knox at 0x0

People like that can be a real pain sometimes, and that is why I'm so adamant about keeping the Knox at 0x0 so if I do sell it I can just unroot.

I picked up a 607t last week. It came loaded with 4.4.2 NE2. A few hours after bringing it home, I had run TowelRoot, Odined TWRP, installed xKat 5.0 w/ SE permissive kernel which I was able to tweak a bit, then flashed the Flat UI theme and a few other mods. Very happy with the new Note! Killer upgrade and no less modifiable than my Note 8 :D

I wonder if TowelRoot will work with the newly announced 4.4.4 upgrade.

It's rootable- you just have to get over the fear of tripping your Knox (which I did that the day I brought it home and have never regretted).
It maybe acceptable for you that KNOX is tripped, but not for me or some other. Otherwise, people will use CF-Autoroot even when TowellRoot is out.

For me, the primary reason I do NOT want KNOX: warranty and when selling the tablet.

I had once tried to sell one with KNOX tripped. I put in the item description that it was rooted and KNOX tripped. Somebody bought it and complained that he couldn't upgrade. He brought it to Samsung, which promptly denied warranty. He filed a claim with Amazon (where I sold the phone). After a long battle, Amazon sided with me. He then FILED a chargeback on his credit card, which I promptly fought again because I did state the condition of the phone. But it was a freakin 4 months of back and forth.

So if you don't sell your tablet, that's fine. I rather recoup some of the money when I upgrade.

I have 4.4.2 (P607TUVUANE2). Samsung original firmwares are available from SamMobile: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-P607T/TMB/

Note: I have NOT tried Odin-ing on the Note 10.1 2014, so I don't know if there is any side effects by doing so. I think you should create a new thread in the Q&A and ask if anyone have done it for the T-Mobile version.
Thanks my issue is solved spen working!
btw I have flashed a couple of roms for 605 all worked flawlessly.

Hey guys just wondering what recovery you guys are using. I am new to this Odin thing (used galaxy nexus toolkits before with my only samsung phone)

I have rooted via towelroot, and all it well. Just wondering what recovery to flash, and how. I see a TWERP recovery, but I just want to make sure I get the compatible one for the 607T

Thanks!
