[Q] Rooted Aria problems. help please!

i rooted my phone with the latest way to do it (ubuntu iso on a cd and boot from cd, then ubuntu does it automatically). ive been getting all kinds of problems trying to allow 3rd party apps on my phone. Im completely new to all of this, can you tell me exactly how to change the settings.db file so that i can install 3rd party apps. please and thank you
