Hi all

I need to send my ZL to the Sony repair centre, as it has a serious fault.

I have a rooted phone, with an unlocked bootloader and am currently running CM10.2. Can anyone tell me how to relock? To do that, I need stock firmware, but I don't know how to flash it as I've seen warnings that I can't flash this while unlocked. The official Sony software doesn't let me update, as it recognises I'm running "modified software."

I've downloaded the latest flashtool, but that's it so far. All help appreciated and yes, I have looked but couldn't find anything that wasn't conflicting information.

Thanks guys.

Hi - I have not. I've just downloaded the stock ftf and am about to try and Flashtool it, so I hope that's the right way to go :)
And according to Flashtool, it seems to have worked. Just trying to get my damn phone to turn on for long enough to find out now for myself.

After flashing the .ftf you can also use flashtool to relock your BL.
If you're in EU, you can send your device to service center even if you previously unlocked the BL.
According to European Union law, Sony has to prove that your problem occured as a result of the unlocked BL.. ;)
And even if you're not in EU, just try and send it in. Depending on the problem, they often don't check BL and DRM status..

MY PHONE IS FIXED! It took a couple of weeks, but the repair centre did a great job.

My phone is working and I love my ZL again. Thank you Sony repair!
