[Q] Rooting a HTC Legend without the trackball

Hi all,

I'm trying to root my HTC Legend to be able to install CyanogenMod.
There is one issue however: my trackball doesn't work anymore, and every guide I tried gets me stuck at the "select wipe using the optical trackball".

Is there a way to get to a rooted ROM (and eventually on CM) without the use of the trackball?

Have you tried using the volume buttons to select wipe?
