[Q] Rooting

OK, I'm new on here and I'm a total NOOB. Can anyone send me step by step instructions on rooting my HTC Sensation, and I mean baby steps. If u have the patients to do this I would be very grateful. Pretend I'm from another planet and then I might understand.

If you are that much of a noob why do you need root?

Because everyone seems to think it is the way to go. I'm generally ok at messing around with stuff, but I can't get my head round this.

You just have to read,read,read.
Then take a deep breath and go for it.

after downloading revolutionary when I run it I get a blackboard flashing up and then disappearing. Why does it not stay?

Hi,

You have to be careful to read everything.
Did you go to the revolutionary page and download and read the documentation page?
It includes links to drivers you will need .
As i remember it the phone has to be plugged in via USB before you start.
And did you fill out the beta key as well.
