[Q] Router Rebooter

I'm looking for an app or method to reboot my Netgear modem via my 2012 Nexus 7 tablet. Occasionally my tablet can't get on the internet (stuck at obtaining ip address or summin) and a reboot modem is the only way (that i know so far) to fix this issue. I am tired of getting out of bed and manually rebooting modem...
If this occurs via my main pc I can simply access the router via browser and reboot from there, I can't seem to manage this in Chrome on the Nexus 7.

I tried Netgear Genie, logged in but it said rebooting modem wasn't supported for my particular modem, it was too old a model :/

If it's stuck on obtaining IP, how do yout expect the app to work when it's not even connected? I know i'm not helpful, but i thought i'd give you something to think about. OR is the router stuck on obtaining IP via your modem?

Actually that's a good point. I always thought the the tablet could still see the wifi modem, just not gain access to the internet, but now u've made me think...
When it does the 'im stuck obtaining ip' thing there are zero bars on the wifi icon, so I'm guessing it can't communicate with the modem at all

Shame, looks like I'll have to keep getting out of bed to manually reboot lol.

Wonder if you can get a reboot remote controllers for modems these days?

You can get a remote controlled power socket, controlled with an app or a designated remote.

Yes I was just thinking about something like this. I have a 4 point power board in my house that is controlled by a mini remote that came with the board, you can turn on/off 4 different power points. Of course doing this via the actual device like a tablet or phone would be better in this circumstance, so basically I'm looking at this like it's an expensive app.
One thing, is cutting power to the modem suddenly in a non reboot fashion (via this app/power point method) likely to 'hurt' the modem? Akin to hitting the big power button on yer pc suddenly, it's not recommended is it, generally yer advised to shutdown computers properly, is it the same with modems? Or can they handle that abuse much better?

There is that.. perhaps a new modem may fix the obtaining ip stuff. But then again it might be shelling out $100-200 for lols.
