ok, I think that one critical feature that needs to be added is the ability to search contact directly using the T9 touch or number search. This is already there on Stock ROM and on MIUI builds. We can use Dial One instead that is already on the market, however, is there a way to get such functionality built in like MIUI ROMS.

I really appreciate you guys polling us on things we want to see in the new rom. Very cool thing to do.

As for me, speed and stability are key. I don't know a thing about development, but have noticed ultimate droid is a little snappier than cm7 despite using the same code. Any way to optimize the new rom to make it a little snappier like ultimate droid?

It may be to late for this, but perhaps this recommendation would be considered for future releases (if this is even within the scope of possibility). In the cM7 settings, users have the options to define the status bar power widgets that are present, and some of these buttons even have presets. One of the buttons with presets is the screen brightness button, which enables you to select how you want your brightness to change when you press the button. There are a number of preset options that work decently, but I think it would be amazing if the user could define custom cycles for the button. This would enable me to have my screen brightness button cycle through 10, 25, then 70, if I choose too. I have never really felt that the defined cycles really fit my needs.

Can y'all mess with the startup screen? The crown with the nexus bars, that is.
I think it seems too "loopy" as-is, as compared to others that have two stages. Maybe the nexus bars can loop around the crown in stage one, and then "grow" out, in, out, in (pulsate) in stage two.

+1. Whenever I use royalginger, I think my phone loops when it does that, especially when I first flash it cause it takes forever.
