Device: Samsung Galaxy S II (SGH-S959G)
Brand: TracFone/Straight Talk
I rooted this device using the AT&T SGH-I777 method (lots of reading suggested it was possible and it sort of is), yet after rooting my wifi is completely hosed. It turns on, tries to detect networks, and then turns off. I downloaded WiFi Fixer and when I try to turn on WiFi it says that it's "invalid." I have no idea what that means and the app doesn't expound either. It's all very vague. Another wifi fixer app basically said the same thing.
Since there is no stock firmware available for this phone (common sense dictates I shouldn't have tried rooting until there is, but eh, that's another discussion) I can't do that and clockwork mod doesn't work on this phone either so custom firmware isn't a solution either.
Is there ANY way to correct this without those two options?
If not, what are the chances of somebody actually releasing stock firmware for this device if it's not out already (this phone was released in August)?
(Solved: Fixed by installing the Entropy kernel instead of Zedomax's kernel.)
