[Q] S3 mainboard replacement costs?

Given all the talk about sudden death syndrome and about the flash counter, I was wondering:

lets say my s3 bricks and is in desperate need of a new mainboard, but Samsung denies repair under warranty... what costs would I be facing to get it repaired nevertheless? (officially through Samsung)

Anyone tried that yet?
