Here is the i897uckf1 gingerbread 2.3.3 files...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30840818...Post #284 in that thread.
Do not put any files in the Bootloader tab of Odin. Just PDA in pda tab, CSC in csc tab, PHONE in phone tab and also Pit file in the pit tab. Be sure to have a reliable usb/micro usb and constant power source. This firmware does contain the Bootloaders.

Hi,

I tried as you suggested, but no success yet. I cant see Phone file in zip. so I selected modem file as Phone file. after selecting all 4 files. when I start odin with these selections, it fails. Attaching the screen shot.

Looks like it happens only because of PDA file. I have tried to install these files individually. I could see, all files gets installed without any fail Except PDA file.

Whatever u do, do not flash anything else that contains the bootloaders (boot.bin, sbl.bin or even param.lfs) because u don't need to risk brickin ur phone anymore than u already have. :/
Not sure why ur Odin flashes r failing where they are. Have u tried different cables or another usb port or a different pc ?

The I9000 stock you're flashing doesn't contain the bootloaders, therefor if it works, you most likely have the I9000 bootloaders already on your phone. Which would explain why you can't flash a I897 ROM.

Now, that it doesn't allow you to flash the I897 bootloaders on top of that if odd. I'm not sure how flashing the I9000 bootloaders borked it as back in the GB days, I would swap between the both every week due to my team hosting both I9000 and I897 based ROMs.

Flashing Odin3 one click downloader didn't work right? Assuming same for JF6? Those are the Eclair and Froyo stocks (respectively).

P.S.: Are you able to load a custom kernel (like speedmod) through Odin and flash Mosaic IX? It's based of the I9000 and should work on the bootloaders I'm assuming you currently have.

Hi,

Sometime back I downloaded a file named as JF6_secure which comes with Odin. It contains a PDA file as ROM of I897. when i do installation of this, Odin shows finally passed. But after this installation, I cant see anything on screen. so I removed it and installed this I9000 based ROM.
So that at least I can my mobile.

I can install I897UCKF1-AutoRoot-DesignGears.tar or CornKernel_UCKK4_v705.tar in the mobile. using these s/w when I select ROM file which in zipped format from sdcard, it fails, showing sometime 45% or 60% etc.
So I am unable to proceed from this way too.

Yes, I tried with Odin one click downloader, but same problem.

There's a Odin version of Mosaic IX. I believe it flashes the I9000 bootloaders. My guess is that it will work on your phone.

What error do you get when it stops a like 45-60% ?

i think you have problem with bootloader. Repair boot loader will be flash fine.

So there is no way other than going through unbrickable mod ? :(
I dont have hardware to do it. and it looks risky for me. If this is the only way, Then I think I will continue with I9000 ROM in my captivate. :(

If you can flash Mosaic IX, being on the I9000 will be fine. You won't get to go on ICS or JB but it's a great and stable GB ROM.
