Pull ur battery and see what phone u actually have. There should be some info there on a sticker. If u have an i9000, then go to that forum and flash the correct firmware etc. for ur phone.
This thread has gotten confusing because u and we here don't know what phone u actually have.
Once u get to the correct forum for what phone u have, then read the stickied threads. They contain all the info u should need.
