As far as I'm concerned, if it's hot enough where it makes me think "holy sh¡t, my phone is freaking hot!", it's overheating. If it's warm not a big deal, that's gonna happen.

I've only had out overheat twice so far. The second time i don't know what happened but my phone had over 50% batt and when i went to pick it up 20 minutes later it was extremely hot to the touch and the battery was dead. Hasn't happened in over a month and I've had this phone for around 6 months now.

Me too, twice I've had to turn mine off as I feared it may melt it's way to China. Mines 5 months old & it does get warm, but as u said not enuff to worry me.

I solved the issue anyway, I put a case on the Fone, can't feel any heat now :sly:

I think that might actually make it worse. If it realy is overheating and not just warm putting a case on the phone traps the hot air making it longer to ventalate.

I got a new battery which arrived today, and read it might be the battery's fault. Ill try the new battery and then try bringing back to stock and see if that fixes it. (of course ill return to MIUI either way, but id like to know if its my fault or the phones fault)

overheating

I just returned from 2nd verizon store. First store nitwit told me I had water in the galaxy3 which is 2 months old and told me to deal with the insurance company and that I would be charged for water damage. I went to another verizon store and was told by an associate there that I would receive an overnite replacement at no charge. Smung is denying overheating issues. BTW I am the only person who ever handled battery. Once when I initially set up phone and last nite because it would not turn off and it was extremely hot. I hope the next one I get works thru the balance of my contract.
