[Q] Screen brightness resets to 100%

Hi I just bought a tablet s and when I set the brightness down and then open some apps (e.g. reader) the brightness goes up to 100% also if I turn it off for a little while (standby not off off) when i wake it up its at full brightness again.

I can take it back within 7 days so I would really appreciate it if anyone knows how to stop it doing this or ill have to take it back.

For some stupid reason the reader app has a separate brightness setting. When you're in the app, touch near the bottom of the page and then touch the briefcase icon. Brightness will pop up on the left.

Agree. Have the same experience with Reader. No issues with the other preinstalled apps.
Do not think the reported issue would be hardware. Sounds like a misbehaving app.
Do Tamworth in though... just in case
