[Q] Screen Broken without physical influence?

Hey guys i've got a question.
So due to some reasons my teacher took away my phone for a day and he gave it back to me today(That's the rule in our school )
Now something happend, my screen is totally broken, only some dead pixels are flying around but the phone is still working(haptic feedback unlock etc. but i can't see it). So now my question, is it possible that my screen is broken without any physical influence which means it wasn't dropped on the floor or something like that?! I need the answer really quick so it would be nice if you could help me fast.

Your teacher must have done something to your phone -_-
Ask him to reimburse you...

Damn so he drops your phone and trys to play it off. That's what I never got about schools confiscating phones, what if a teacher or admin breaks it? And you know they're going to try to get out of paying if only because the salaries are lousy.

At my school if your caught using it in class it is confiscated (7days!). You have no choice but to hand it over.
