I've been traveling & not in a position to help out. I'm back now. What lib files are you referring to & how do I get them to you?

In your system/lib folder towards the bottom there are several lib files with wfd in the name. They are they libraries used by wifi direct and (im pretty sure if the note 2014 is any indication) screen mirroring. Cf auto root should do the same thing to all of our devices so I think that the difference is in those files. You can zip them up and put them in dropbox and give me a share link or you can post the zip directly here. Also van you provide your tablets country/build number/kernel and any other mods you have made that might affevt it. Thanks alot. Hopefully the problem is in the lib files and it can be fixed by a little file swap.

Here's my files.

I have not made any mods since rooting. At this point, I have not even frozen any files with TiBu. My kernel is 3.4.39-448792 & build is KOT49H.P900UEU1ANAE

Good luck

Tried using your lib files but to no avail possible these aren't the ones we need. Trying to hide root with all available methods does no good.Root method is some hardware is the same.... what version is your screen mirror-apk ? Something is different just Need to figure out what,

I'm in the same boat. Went to do a customer presentation after rooting and OOPS, hardware connection issue. Fortunately, I had my SP2 with me to finish the presentation. I am willing to donate to whoever finds the fix.

TIA

Im really at a lose. Ive tried replacing all the relevant files I can't find (everything related to wifi and screen mirror) and it still wont work. I have no clue why some work after root and others don't. We need someone more tech savvy than me to find out. As far as I can tell all files are identical so it must be something at the kernel level affected by root (see note 3 forums) or a check of some sort detecting root

A couple of people on the 2014 forum seem to be working on a fix for the lte models. Those like our don't have the wfdlib engine file. So maybe if they can fix it it can be ported to ours.

One guy on kitkat on the 2014 with a custom rom said reflashing the stock recovery fixed his screen mirroring and said it made sense from the logs he was pulling. can anyone try this and see if it works? I'm away from my Computer for a few days
