[Q] "search with camera" in google now in CM10.1 4.2.1

I am using the [NIGHTLY][ROM][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 for Samsung Captivate. I noticed the "search with camera" within the google now just crashes. Also, if you tap the mic and say"scan this barcode", it briefly opens then crashes too. Any reasons why this happens? I would of liked to post in that particular forum but since I am a noob I can't.

Everything else working great.

I am on Same ROM, on 22nd Dec build and I don't have any such problems so far. Try Clearing data/cache of Google Now App. Might help you!!

I have tried clearing cache in google search app, clearing data, reinstalling gapps, and reflashing.

I didn't even realize this was possible, but the fc is an issue for me when I try it. I'm running Captivating 6.2.1 which is based off cm10.1.

Yea, it is not the biggest deal in the world, but I would like it to work. Other things I would like to see in this rom:

- year on lock screen with date
- camera zoom
- google play lock screen music controls like in cm 9.1 (right now it is a tiny box instead of the whole screen)
