Can someone explaine to me why Desire HD's screen is wider than Sensation's and both of them have 4:3" screen ...

The HTC Sensation has a 16.9 aspect ratio with 540x960 resolution which makes it smaller in width compared to the EVO 4G and DHD. The DHD has a 5.3 Aspect Ratio with 480x800 resolution.

Actually, the Desire HD has a 5:3 aspect ratio. The Sensation is also a bit taller than the Desire HD.
