HTC Sensation 4G Sar Levels - Radiation Safety Review

It's not such a joke, please let us who care to take the matter seriously discuss in peace.

Personally, this does not impede on my intention to buy. The only issue for me is that I won't buy till it's unlocked and rooted.

But it seems many of these high tech devices will have this issue. So I just go into it knowing what I'm getting and try not to handle it in ways that would cause issues in time.

BT headset? I never put a cell phone to my head. Not paranoid. Just prefer a headset to a slimy screen.

Nobody get cancer by phone radiation or any else device, because radiation levels are tested and confirmed to safe. I think... ;)

Exactly. That's why that program (in California I think) where they were going to put SAR stickers on the phone boxes/store display signs (or something along those lines) was nixed as it was deemed misleading, making people think that cellphone A was incredibly more dangerous than cellphone D when they all meet the legal safety requirements.

I wrote HTC and got reply:

Head: 0.358 W/kg @10g
Body: 0.76 W/kg @10g

I think this is pretty good. So stop spreading false facts!

Well, according to http://cellphones-radiation-ratings.com, the Desire (that I currently own) has even higher radiation levels, so if the Desire didn't hurt me I don't think the Sensation will do so :p
You would not have issues till some years down the road and only if you're keeping it at your head or very close for extended periods.

Hence the debate over the issue in general and talk of it doing no harm. You don't see the impact over short periods. People used to say smoking was harmless too.

not false facts at all .
you need to understand that there are two different sar tests .

US FCC sar ratings tests are for a 1gr human tissue max sar allowed 1.6
CENELEC (EU) sar ratings are based on 10g human tissue max sar allowed 2

totally different tests
phones soled in the us must pass us fcc tests .

that site is using the fcc (US) sar rating 1g and you are taking about the EU ratings for 10g .

I've worked for carriers and sold landlords/tenants on having sites on their roofs. Which according to my radio engineers is much less radio-y than pressing one of these against your face or balls. Make no mistake, I love these damn things so much, but we are unquestionably subjects in an ongoing experiment on the human race. I turn it back to 2G whenever it goes in my pocket period. I used to make hours long calls last century with my Moto DPC 550, and I have the funky facial moles to show for that type of usage for the past 15 years. Now I use speakerphone every chance I get. The real science on this, if not being suppressed outright, is being underfunded. But there is enough evidence out there now to err on the side of caution!

Hmm could this be because the antennas is at the back, behind the plastic cover? i mean when you hold it against your ear, the radiation goes from the back and out in the air, and the phone itself functions as a shield, while when you have it in your pocket, with the screen out, all the radiation goes to your hip. But if you turn it the other way around, you won't get nearly any radiation at all! Who knows which side they tested it with :)
