What's the highest core temperature that people are seeing on a Streak 5? I currently have mine set to 998MHz with SetCPU and it's generally ticking at around 83F.
Over the weekend, when it was at 1.2GHz, it was sat in the sun on my car dash running Google Maps, and consistently was crashing. It was only when I took it down to reboot by taking out the battery I realised the thing was red hot. I didn't catch the temperature unfortunately - it was Mother's Day, my wife was mad at me for relying on a failing GPS to find our brunch venue, so didn't have time to investigate. I had to crank up the car A/C and direct the vents directly over the Streak to cool it down. Then it was fine.
Last night I was trying to get Netflix running (see thread on the Android Development forum for a fix to the 'chipmunking') but it wasn't happy, kept crashing. It was getting hot and I noticed the temp was 102F. Battery out and let it cool off and it seemed OK again.
So - my question for all the O/C fans - what's the 'safe' operating temperature max for the Streak?
