I've had success rooting my Rogers SGH-I467M with the NH-5120 CF-Auto-Root tool.

I flashed just radio, it goes in bootloop. I flashed rogers radio back and it worked.
I flashed system.img from n5120, it wouldnt boot at all. I will rebuild the 5120 rom for i467 and see.

I have built the rom from the n5120 rom and kernel. It should work but I am unable to flash it, when I try that from cwm it fails with status 0 and from twrp recovery it fails with "unknown file system usermedia".

I repacked N5120 rom and installed on my i467M, rom is working fine. I have the dialer now. Only problem is , modem.bin does not support calls, whenever i try to make a call, it ends the call. I have tried modems from all kind of other devices but those are causing boot loop.
So far i have tried Note 2, Note 2 tmobile, note 8 5120 and may be couple more. If we can find a modem that will not cause boot loop then we will have a note 8 that is a huge phone.

Can you share the rom repack? I'm not too sure how to do this so would love access to what you've created. My sgh-i467m does not have the phone earpiece, so I'm not really concerned about the phone module, but am more interested in how to get 4.2 or cyanogen on this puppy.

I dont know what ive done .. but im tried rooting this tablet and its been sitting at <ID:0/004> cache.img.ext4 for about 20mins any ideas whats going on .. this is the second time ive tried this .. i had to use the kies and do a recovery to get my tablet back working

You should have used saferoot.zip after setting USB debugging enabled. Way too many Note 8.0 peeps following the leader on rooting through Odin. It is not the best way to root, nor is it 100% fool proof.

I don't know if you have done anything before you rooted, such as flashing a custom recovery, or flashing a custom ROM.

Wondering how this thread died in April. So many of us have i467M.

I'm stuck on 4.1.2. Wondering if anyone ever got 4.2.1 working with LTE. Even if the dialer didn't work (no phone calls) but the LTE radio was working, I'd be happy to upgrade from 4.1.

Any info anyone?

Absolutely. Tools are all here for root and recovery. Samsung has released the KitKat ROM 4.4.2 about two weeks ago. I've posted info elsewhere in this forum in the General section the exact procedure.

Also a great third party kernel Spherekat by Civato for the 5120 that works like a charm and which I flashed after upgrading to KitKat. Big help for battery life. This kernel can be found in Developer section.

People On AT&T should stop asking. Their bootloader is locked. Don't think AT&T has released KitKat for their 5120, which is basically our i467m.

I am rather late to the game. Just picked up a used i467m for my sister-in-law to use on Rogers.

Looks like development for the i467m tablet has stopped. I guess I'll be limiting myself to rooting the tablet.

Yes, custom recoveries that is meant for the 5120 will work for the i467m. Non-touchwiz roms, though not many, will also work.

If I just want root, I suppose I could just flash a custom recovery and then flash supersu.zip from recovery.
