Thank you for the reply. This is great news:good:

If I just want root, I suppose I could just flash a custom recovery and then flash supersu.zip from recovery.
There is a guide for rooting somewhere. I think you can use Odin to flash custom recovery and then flash supersu.

I saw another guide on another site where I could flash a "cf-auto-root.tar" file in Odin and get root access. I may try that.

I downloaded the stock 4.4.2 ROM for my tablet from sammobile.com in case I need to flash back to stock. As the tablet is currently locked to Rogers, I'm wondering if it is worth it sim unlock before flashing custom ROMs.

Cf auto root works as well. I don't know much about sim unlocking, but if you're planning on flashing a lollipop rom, data from any provider will not work.

I tried a sim card from another provider and the tablet asked me to enter a network unlock code. If believe I need to be running a stock Samsung dialler in order to enter the unlock code.

I have seen conflicting reports about battery life in KK vs LP. I'll probably limit myself to rooting, removing some apps, and leaving it at that as the tablet will be used by a non-techie. I really don't want to receive a phone call to tell me that the tablet is acting up lol.

Hi All,
I know this is a very old thread, but I just see it today.
Can anyone please confirm if the Telus SGH-I467M has an UNLOCKED bootloader? I have an AT&T SGH-I467 (locked bootloader), but I don't want to put up with it anymore even though I can easily root it with the latest KingoRoot. The problem with a locked bootloader is I cannot install a custom ROM and hence am stuck on Android 4.4.2. Many newer apps require at least Lollipop or newer nowadays. Thanks
