Hello,

My issue is that i just flashed the I777UCMD8 stock firmware on my i777 via odin (download it from sammovile.com), everything looks great till i tryed to plug the USB or charger, it restart itself and fall in a bootloop just showing the batery icon but dont get any charge. What can be my problem?

P.S: This didn't happend with CM or any other custom rom

Thanks

If you haven't done so, boot into recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset.

If that does not resolve the issue, then I would suggest that you reinstall the stock firmware using odin to see if you have a bad flash. Maybe even re-download the stock I777UCMD8 firmware from the Download Repository (link in my signature)

Extremely unusual. So you flashed SHOstock afterwards and the problem went away? Or are you just saying that the problem was not present before the flash to stock?

The symptom sounds like the USB port in the phone is failing or failed. But since you didn't have the problem before flashing the UCMD8 stock firmware, I thought it might be a bad flash or bad download. If you can go to some other firmware and not have the problem, then it is probably not a hardware failure. There is also the possibility that the hardware failed concurrently with the UCMD8 firmware flash.

The odd thing is, when suspecting possible hardware failure, the test is to flash stock to see if the problem persists. The general rule of thumb is that hardware will work correctly with the stock firmware. So it's completely backwards from what you would expect if it fails with stock and works correctly on custom firmware.

thats right, I flashed CM 11, SHOstock, Slimkat and got no problem, the issue is just with UCMD8, I downloaded from the repository and from sammovile.com and got the same problem, i tryed to flash it again and again the problem, when plug in just reboot and fall in a loop with the batery screen on it

Sounds like the problem may be your recovery isn't the right one I know going back to stock it should put the right recovery back on but I have seen some weird things happen with these phones.
