[Q] Shrink screen by default?

Hi Guys,
I have tmobile note3 and I love the shrink screen option. but the problem is that when i wake the phone up with home button or power button it goes back to full screeen mode. Is there any way to keep shrink screen by default? I am rooted and running stock NF9

Wouldn't it be better for you in the first place if you had bought a smaller phone ?
