[Q] Slim ICS GPS Blues

I flashed Slim ICS 4.0.4 a few days back, and my GPS is abysmal. Of course, not like it was any better before (had Phoenix Unleashed and CM7).

I flashed H3llstorm's 'all-roms-in-one' fix (the one with 8 NTP servers). I have the GPS Status app, and it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to more than a minute to get a lock, even with AGPS data and after it finds the satellites too. After each lock, it cannot hold it for longer than a few seconds.

The issue is not even that. GPS Status seems to get a lock, Google Maps never really gets a lock. The GPS icon is an empty ring (the solid circle inside doesn't even blink, which makes me think it can't find the satellites to begin with).

Also, I read that Slim ICS is an AOSP rom and those dialer codes (i.e., 3214789650) won't work as they're from the Samsung framework. Are there any separate dialer codes for AOSP based roms?

Is *#*#0011#*#* what you're looking for? You may need to hit the back button a couple of times to get to the main menu.

I tried the 0011 code and it takes me to service mode. I'm not sure how I can change the GPS server settings from there.
