[Q] [SOLVED] AOSP CM10.1 [KANG] Headphone Overheating Fix?

So I wanted to ask this question on the actual forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204963&page=36 , but my status as a noob on XDA has prohibited me from doing so.

In the discussion on that forum, Zojak and N_otori0us_ discuss possible ways of overcoming the headphone overheating issue.

After reading some other threads I've installed the older coderz 3.0.64 kernel and my device no longer heats up with headphones plugged in. It does however no longer wake up when pressing the touch pad. Small price to pay I suppose.

I have trackpad wakes. None are made by me, I just found them along the forums.

Try that, flash it through recovery.

I also found a tp wake for sense 4.0 roms. And yay Dev Host is working now!

My question is, has this fix worked for anyone else? Does it break anything?

Nope, It doesnt really break anything.Just a little unstable, so you will have random reboots

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it. THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! I love this forum and all the help that people offer on it. I'm going on a road trip with my girlfriend and I wanted to make sure that we could use my phone for music without it overheating to the max. I know albinoman is updating this ROM, but until then, this totally fixes the headphone problem (and the trackpad issue).
