Hi, I'm new to WP7 development coming from webOS.

I'm trying to make a simple soundboard app through Expression Blend and I've run into a few snags.

I've added the media element and given it a source (even though I'm pretty sure it's not stored locally within the app quite yet). My next step would be to add a play/pause button and a title but this is where I'm getting stuck. I'm going for the same look as when you're choosing a ringtone.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure that support for that is built in. Its probably just a skinned Button.

This seems similar to what you're after, it's just ugly :p - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/gg598930.aspx
Thank you for your help, unfortunately it wasn't quite what I was looking for. But luckily after a bunch of tinkering, I figured it out on my own!

I will PM you my app idea because you were the only one to try and help!

Thanks once again!

I made a drumlooper, however the performance of audio is really terrible on xna/silverlight and even the most optimised code did not do the job for me and it will get out of sync easily.

However if your soundboard triggers just one sample at the time or a few its possible, dont expect the live drum performance of an MPC on your phone though...
Feel free to pm me and ill look up the code for playing audio and sampling etc.
